10 pass TEN

To celebrate our 10th birthday we want to find…

  • 10 young disabled people and appoint them as apprentices, and place them at
  • suitable projects and placements with local employers across Hertfordshire, and
  • support them with mentors.

This is our ‘10 pass TEN’ challenge and we hope you can help…

The 10 apprentices we want to appoint in 2010 will join the 6 apprentices already employed by Hertfordshire PASS WorkABILITY project.

A very interesting idea, I used compensation money paid to me from an FE provider for breaking the Disability Discrimination Act to invest in getting our own social enterprise off the ground.

Thanks for your post Peter! Very interesting and glad you sorted out the social enterprise with your own money.

We are very proud of this new project which will hopefully be very interesting and will let young apprentices know the realities of work by completing these apprenticeship projects and we are starting to put two young applicants in local companies next week! They are being trained this week, and we hope they will gain an insight by being inducted just like any other member of Hertfordshire PASS staff.

By the way why not let my manager Nigel know about the work you have doing and your comments regarding this, as we may be able to forge a link with you in the future.
